A perfect hideaway in California
USA travels continues....with a husband who is seriously into cars a trip to Pebble Beach in Carmel was always on the agenda. What I didn’t realise was just how pretty Carmel is-in part due to the strict building guidelines and importance of preservation (thank you Clint Eastwood Ex-Mayor of Carmel). Many of the houses look like they have been shipped in from England complete with thatched roofs and pretty cottage gardens. The town of Carmel too is picturesque with high end shopping, pretty restaurants and cafes and some lovely local art and antiques shops.
