This lovely 1 bedroom apartment surrounded by stunning garden views in Armadale was bought by a young lady in the cosmetics industry. Her small budget of $5000 to redecorate gave us the challenge we are always looking for. Soft painted pink walls in the lounge/dining area were complemented with chairs recovered in Schumacher Chang Mai Dragon. This stunning fabric gave us the jumping off point to include a gold velvet banquet in the dining area, red lacquer chairs and Chinese cabinet and a lucite acrylic coffee table (a great find at a local auction house). The client was lucky enough to have amassed a large collection of art which we hung to create to perfect art wall. The bedroom was painted in a dark moody blue making a dramatic space it also featured a velvet bedhead, fine linen, brass lighting, leopard print cushions and tortoiseshell accessories and more dramatic large scale artwork. To save money many pieces were reimagined with a lick of paint.

Because we had a very limited budget we did a “cheap and cheerful” refurbishment of the kitchen and bathroom which included painting all walls, cupboards and tiles. Hanging a large collection of copper pots in the kitchen completed the eclectic look.
